Awards & Scholarships

Since inception in 1949, Soroptimist International of Havre de Grace has awarded in excess of $750,000. To date, this equates to over 550 awards and scholarships presented to young girls and women in Harford and Cecil County, Maryland.  

 

Our scholarship award scholars represent schools in both Cecil and Harford County, Maryland and truly demonstrate the attributes to become future leaders of tomorrow in their careers and society. 

 

In June 2021, Soroptimist International of Havre de Grace presented $22,200 to high school seniors for outstanding academic achievements to women pursuing additional career training.  Academic Scholarships totaling $18,700 in 2019 awarded to thirteen young women graduating from high school attending college for the first time in the fall to fulfill their academic dreams.
